Why Go Half Way?

Shocking news from the New Hampshire stop on President Obama’s “Death Panel Live” tour.

It seems the little girl from Malden, MA who asked that question about “mean signs” may not have been a totally random selection!

Well, please. Spare me the feigned outrage.  Politicians taking planted questions in town hall events has long been an honored American tradition.   There’s really nothing unusual, or even particularly creative about it.

Indeed, if we’re looking to break new political territory, let’s just get real and abandon all pretense completely.  Here’s my suggestion:  let’s restrict all questions to the candidate’s family members alone.

It would avoid all those pesky issues of fairness entirely.

Sarah Palin would know exactly how to respond when Todd asked her to compare out of pocket expenses for a tonsillectomy versus gutting a moose.

We might even hear some exchanges worth our attention.  Like, “I wanted a Popsicle and found $90,000! How did that get into our freezer?”  or “Why do you need tango lessons to hike the Appalachian Trail?”

Voters, this is one reform we should all demand. After all, no one understands us  better than the folks who clean our couch cushions.

The 2012 Presidential Election is fast approaching

The White House

The GOP race is now a field of 4 with only Romney, Gingrich, Paul, & Santorum still standing. Who will be the next candidate to exit the race & who will emerge as the eminent GOP nominee?
