It took 8 years for a man to screw up our nation. And we expected Obama to fix it in less the 4 years. It’s not Obama’s fault that he could not part the waters people. Until we stand behind the man in the White house our country will continue to fail. Whether they are republican or democrat.

chuck, you poor misguided soul…
“bring back America and our pride!!!!”… really? Are you not old enought to emember 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, or 2008? America was a nation spinning out of control. The rest of the world hated us (more than usual), those that didn’t hate us thought we were the laughing stock of the world – especially your guy GWB. In 06, 07, and 08, America was at its darkest time. International unrest, internal unrest, financial unrest… and this is what you think we should bring back. As a wise man once said, “we’re not where we want to be, we’re not where where we’re going to be, but thank good we’re not where we were!” The demographics in this country have changed my friend. There was a time when if white men wanted it, it was so. Not any more. If you repubs want to regain any relevence you will have to start courting minorities. No one will ever will the presidency again without stong support from minority groups. I know that’s a painful realization for you but you know it’s true. That extreme “my way or the highway” attitude won’t work anymore. America has spoken! A 336-206 landslide – not even close.

I have listened to what each nominee has said. I still believe that neither will save America as we knew it. We are heading for change alright and it is not good. the only ones who will make it are the rich, the poor, the illegal immigrants. The middle class will keep all the burden on them. they will not have jobs like they once had, they will never be able to buy another house, their retirement will be virtually gone.
I am one of the 60 year old women who after 30years of loyal company with a predominately make company lost her status to a mere 16hrs. a week, no vacation, no sick days, no pension, no life insurance, no paid auto insurance like before becuase I now partially work for an MBE company which was given to him and his men by the owner of another company so they would have a career until they too reached retirement age. Wwomen are still be held down by their male conterparts,

response to Walter “Heisenberg” White : If the Whites stayed in Europe and didn’t invade other nations and conquer them and dominate them and colonize them – and kill the natives of those invaded lands and rape their women and enslave their children and destroy their culture force their religions down the natives’ throats and steal their resources – I think the Whites would have had respect they would have deserved by the rest of the world.

Reply

Walter "Heisenberg" White October 28, 2012 at 10:37 pm

Both Obama and Romney refuse to address the issue of white genocide being carried out against the white people of the earth. This program of genocide is being carried out as follows.

Non-Whites are force integrated into every White country, every white community, and every white institution in the world. Nowhere on earth can white people have a space committed to the destinies of white people. White people are expected to “celebrate” the fact that they’re being forced blended out of existence.

This same program of forced diversity in not expected of African, Asian, Jewish, or other non-white people. Only white people are expected to adhere to being force blended with other races. This is genocide, as the UN defines it.

There are these people who claim to be “anti-racist,” what they are is anti-white. Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

Obama may be better than Romney on most issues, but on the issue of White genocide they are THE SAME!

Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

Please make a point. The Egyptians enslaved the Hebrews. The Hebrews made slaves of the Muslims. The Romans made slaves of anyone they could.

People behave abominally sometimes, and some cutlures endorse such behavior. These posts don’t talk about that. It would make as much sense were to retort by mentioning global warming.

We all know President brought our soldiers home for a rest. He found and destroyed Osama , he focuses on togetherness for thee American People, he is for the underdog , middle class and therich and famous. Tell me how he could fix the mess of the previous administration. All I can see is the racist in America is very upset because he is a black man that does not deny his heritage.

Reply

Thomas Goldsmith Oppenheimer October 28, 2012 at 7:16 pm

Obama gets credit for making the call to strike at Osama. Yes, I believe most presidents would have made the same decision, but it still took some stones to make the call, so good for him.

Every other comment you posted is silly. All the soldiers came home from Iraq because Obama dawdled, and the prudent plan to keep some stabilizing forces in the country was refused by the Iraqis. Where has Obama brought anyone together? His campaign has been to demonize anyone who has money, and to separate and isolate all other factions. Also, no one asked him to ‘fix’ all the messes he inhertied. We just wanted him to make some progress, to support the American ideals of innovation and self-reliance, to curtail government expansion and the incredble waste. We wanted him to stop stripping individual citizens of their rights – or trying to in the cases where he hasn’t yet succeeded.

We wanted him to keep his promise to work across the aisle, to lower the deficit, and to help businesses to grow, innovate, and hire people. We wanted him to be not so disappointing. His term has simply been sad.

The country was in a different position back in 2008. The question many should ask themselves is how things are different. The late 2007 financial crush left the country in a mess that it hadn’t for years (since The Great Depression). Did the election of 2008 changed the course? Many would argue that the country is in a safer position and also many argue it has been worse. My question who should have some credit for the reviving the country or for that matter who should be blamed for destroying it. The political pickering of the country seems to outweigh everything that congress do today. Congress has its lowest approval rating since the Republic was founded. It does not matter who wins the election. What matters is that who will work together and stop the partisan gridlock that plagued that congress and the presidency and put America back to work again.

People really need to wake up and realize that President Obama has done a great job, being our President. Just get use to it and stop seeing color and give the man what is due to him. He is a great leader and he WILL be our President for the next 4 years. Don’t Hate Participate. Republican just can’t get with the program, stop being spoil children and be adults.

What are you?!!…a total idiot???!! Anyone can see this country is worse of now than it was 4 years ago…..I take home LESS MONEY in my check and I’ve gotten several raises…….I spend more at the store….more at the gas pump…
my husband was laid off 3 years ago and STILL can’t find a job! Obama’s a great president?? Give me a break!! Check the facts…..he lies to us over and over and over again…..VOTE FOR MITT! He sure the HELL can’t do any worse.

Reply

Patricia October 28, 2012 at 7:27 pm

Even if there was another president in power, your paycheck would still be the same and your husband would still be unemployed. Face it, its the fact. You probably doesn’t have the qualifications for a well paid job and so does your husband and this is the reasons why your paycheck seem like its not increasing even with raises and your husband can not find the right job for his skills, which probably is not enough for the jobs he want to have. Maybe you guys should take this time like other Americans are doing and go back to school and get a degree that will help both you and your husband to get jobs your are entitle to.
Good luck to your husband and hope that he will find the job he deserve and for you, try to get a better paying job.

Patricia,
So you’re saying that you will vote Obama because it doesn’t matter anyway and you don’t expect much different in the next four year? Now that’s a ringing endorsement.

Realist…
You take home less money because you’re lazy and work less. You spend more at the store because you haven’t learned to shop properly. You spend more at the pump because you haven’t learned to budget properly. Your husband is probably unemployed because he’s not willing to work a job that he thinks is beneath him. Blame the economy for the first six months or so… but 3 years – THAT’S HIS FAULT!!! I bet if I told him I would pay him $1 million if he found a job this week, IT WOULD HAPPEN! You said the president lies over and over but you don’t say what he lied about. You are an idiot. I hope you don’t have any kids… we don’t need your genetics infecting in the gene pool.

You are a ignorant person for calling your president a liar. Grow up and take responsibility for your own life cause I can tell its not going the way you expected it. Romney is not knowledgeable with anything and have no clue what he is talking about when it comes to the country. The voters know that he would never be able to handle the country cause it would be too much for him. Please get it together cause u sound very stupid.

If America is to be saved, and I believe it will, it won’t be saved by a Republican or a Democrat. In fact, it won’t be saved by a political platform at all, really. Instead, the only force powerful enough to rescue America from the path it is currenlty following is a renewed and re-energized belief and commitment to the American Dream, the American Way of Life, the Great Experiment – whatever name you wish to give it.

The ruling party – the people – will need to demand that government policies focus on supporting the ideals that elevated the country to greatness over the past 300 years. Independence, self reliance, industry, innovation, altruism, pluralism, egalatarianism, and meritocracy must be the foundation.

The nay-sayers and the fact-checkers have probably already deduced that the ideals mentioned above are not ones that dovetail so neatly. In fact, one can make the case that they are often mutually exclusive of one another. However, Crevecouer, De Tocqueville, Steinbeck, Schlesinger and many others have noted these paradoxes and have nevertheless concluded that they may all coexist in a place where believing in the dream is the driving force, and not the scientific evidence of its viability.

In short, Americans need to believe in all of the things that have made the country great, and expect their political servants to ensure that none of the ideals is suppressed or curtailed, nor championed and protected at the expense of another. It’s a messy business. Only a citizenry that agrees to keep on trying, and to be willing to die for these principles, has any chance of saving America.

America is a dream, an ideal, a vision, and an experiment. It cannot be true, and yet it has been, and only relentless optimism and energy can bring it back from the brink. Those who wish to surrender, or desert, are free to do so. They are kindly asked not to undermine the efforts of those who have the courage to persevere.

Christine October 21, 2012 at 10:33 pm

I definitely agree. Right now America IS at war with itself, and once it can pull itself together we can see a definite change. I’m not saying we need to go back 50 years from now, but we need to agree that the common ground for the american dream is a shared dream. Without everyone support each other in one way or another we are anchored down on a sinking ship. If big corperations stop paying it’s employees, the employees… well will not have money to buy the products and services they need. Without proper financing america and the american dream we wont see home owners, which means less business for companies!

There is no winning when greed controls America. America needs to work together and find a common ground that is in the best interest of everyone.
