Have you ever wondered what happened to all the players in political scandals? Where do they go after their proverbial fifteen minutes of infamy? Some like Oliver North go on to host talk shows and become political commentators. Some fade into obscurity, never to be seen or heard from again-sure, you can google their names and see whatever became of them.
The one thing you can count on is their lives are never quite the same again and turned upside down. These people seem to have it all-money, power, fame, even picture-perfect families and lives. All it takes is one mistake, one misstep, one indiscretion to ruin it all. A momentary lapse in judgment can send their lives into a tailspin.
Case in point, the John Edwards trial involving his misappropriation of campaign funds. He was using money from his campaign coffers to pay off his mistress in order for her to keep quiet about their affair. Well, it seems that it ended in a mistrial and the Justice Department has dropped its case against Edwards and they have decided not to retry him. The man has to live with what he did to his late wife, Elizabeth. After all, she did write him out of her will. So what do you think is next for Edwards…a reality show for him and his baby mama? What do you think of that one?
