Don’t worry my Liberal confidant told me this morning. After pointing out the article today headlining the “Drudge Report: Big Sis Monitoring Drudge Report, Web Sites for terror and disaster info….”, “it’s like watching a canary in a coal mine. Nip something in the bud before it grows“.
The article points to Drudge, Twitter and smaller social media like “The Blotter”, a blog site focused on current political news and opinion.
I am embarrassed at my own cowardice, you see there was a much more appropriate comment by Jefferson, relating to government tyranny and why it is important for citizenry to remained armed, but I was scared to use it. I don’t want to type a series of key words that gets me flagged and put on a “Patriot Act” monitor list. It’s not that I have anything to hide, but I fear an administration that made it clear they were more worried about domestic zealots than Muslim outsiders.
You may think I’m nuts, but if a terrorist attack of unknown origin happens in Seattle, my name is probably already on a “watch list” of small government zealots. I hope they do not go back and read all my blogs! They may deputize Dfunzy to come over and interrogate me. I have an idea he wouldn’t remember the water boarding restrictions.

Yeah, you are totally nuts! There is absolutely no basis whatsoever to think that the government is watching us like a sort of “Big Sister”. After all, this is North America and that would be a conspiracy theory. I think you need to just relax and not believe ABC news who is obviously just getting kicks by making you nervous. Things like this just don’t happen here. Particularly if one of the major media outlets reports it. Take a chill pill dude!
