You think like a lib. Power through numbers, numbers through giving entitlements or favors.

Conservatives get power through standing on Constitutional principle.
When we try to enlarge our tent through enclusiveness (by compromising principle) we lose numbers, because unlike Libs, we don’t support a party at any costs, we STAND ON PRINCIPLE regardless of the costs.

It really is a unique concept that has made this country great.

GOP leaders like Gingrich and Steele are trying to win national elections in a two-party system. Narrow focused parties don’t win elections in a two-party system. They become enfeeble and they die off.

Many years ago, when my oldest child became a teenager, I was conflicted. They started to act distant, so I tried to be more of a friend and less of a dad. Big mistake, they had plenty of friends, what they needed was solid leadership and consistency. I thought if I acted like I was “with it” they would like me again. What I caused was insecurity and a lack of firm standing, they didn’t know what to expect.
Steele, like Newt tried being the mass media’s friend. They acted like rap was cool and they enjoyed certain songs, when in reality they knew it was a destructive influence. They embraced Snoop Dog in front of the kids, all the while knowing he’s a dope smoking degenerate and a infected boil on the buttocks of America.

Comparisons break down quickly. Steele has tried to play the wise middle. To be understanding and win the public with kindness, when what he needed to do was stand firm on Constitutional principle, be a leader instead of a buddy to all. He has caused those under his leadership to become insecure in believing his principles are more important than his desire to be liked. I feel insecure under his leadership.

I need to know my leader is steadfast and consistent, not cool with everybody.

Update on Mr. Steele. Two items, I thought I should share.

Newt Gingrich Says Republicans Are Scared Of Michael Steele Because He’s Black. Sounds like old Newt doesn’t want a fight over a new party chair. One of those Tea Partiers might get the job. That would not go down well on K Street!

Fox News, that fair and balanced news organization (LOLS), tried to cover Mr. Steele’s behind. When he appeared on Fox News Monday, Mr. Steele, used the phrase “Honest Injun.” Fox re-wrote the transcript to try and hide it. Changed “Honest Injun” to “Honest Engine”. Fox said it was a transcribing error. Since “Honest Engine … isn’t a phrase so no one believed the Fair and Balanced news network.”
