I’m sure by now everyone has heard the “light skinned” comment by Harry Reid. This is a prime example of how important it is to be quick to think and slow to judge. Although it is tempting to demand swift and harsh action against Reid, the punishment should fit the crime and the right example set. Many argue that if a Republican had uttered such a comment the Dems would be up in arms demanding the offender’s resignation. While this is certainly true we must be the ones to put aside the notion of an eye for an eye. It is the wrong argument for a party with values! Reid’s resignation may well be justified, but let us ensure it is not simply because we, the Conservatives wish to get even. In my opinion justice will be served in November.

 

Together we set an example by doing what is just, regardless of how the opposition would react. It is what separates politicians from those who truly wish to serve the best interests of this great country. Every American we vote into office should be a shining example of this. Demand it in them and in yourself!
