Life’s mysteries-tea party and “birthers”

In the last couple of years there seems to be more political groups protesting something or another. The National Tea Party was formed to protest the Obama Administration’s policies.  The “birthers” came into existence for the purpose of arguing the legitimacy of Barack Obama’s birth in the United States. It seems there has been a much-heated debate on whether our Commander-in-Chief is really an American citizen or not.  The long-standing story goes is Obama was born in Hawaii but the “birthers” argument is that he produced a false birth certificate in order to run for President and really was born in Kenya.  If the later is actually true, then he wouldn’t be eligible to be President of the United States because of his alleged birth place. Birthers tend to be a very radical and vocal group at that.

The National Tea Party really has yet to have an allegiance with the Republican Party but they tend to be more along the neo-conservative persuasion.

Another thing that seems to be the craze lately is politicians jumping party lines and becoming Independents, etc.  Is this a sign of the times to come or just a trend?  Perhaps disillusion with their own party’s shenanigans, disloyalties and tactics is causing them to jump ship.  The most recent causalities in the battle of the political wars is Florida governor, Charlie Crist who recently abandoned the Republican party to run as an Independent for the Florida state senate race and not so recently, Joe Lieberman, Connecticut senator who also became an Independent a few years back.  As we all well know, he was Al Gore’s running mate in the infamous 2000 Presidential election.  It’s amazing that in just a few years things and how political ideologies/ views can change.

The 2012 Presidential Election is fast approaching

The White House

The GOP race is now a field of 4 with only Romney, Gingrich, Paul, & Santorum still standing. Who will be the next candidate to exit the race & who will emerge as the eminent GOP nominee?

I shall not refer to you as TP, Patriot,

Wow! I never thought of that. Now I have to reconsider my position. My head hurts. Damn, I can’t believe I didn’t think of that!

The mother would certainly have a good reason for such a maneuver even at that time for all sorts of state advantages even in 1961. She was a very liberal woman who used various state programs, and having a baby out of the country by a foreign father could complicate her life and her son’s future eligibilities. VERY thoughtful Patriot.

It would also finally make sense, after all the whispers, why Obama wouldn’t just freakin put them to rest by releasing the damn thing. He’s the President, if it ever was there, HE could get er done one way or another.

@SilverWun

“Unless the Obamas were psychic, they couldn’t have conspired to issue a false birth announcement the year of Barack’s birth.”

Bill O’Reilly didn’t do his homework on this issue.

Obama’s family didn’t put a birth announcement in their local paper. That was done automatically during those years by the Hawaiian Dept. of Health whenever they registered a birth, whether or not the baby was born in Hawaii and up to one year of age. This is why the “birth announcement” defense has not eliminated the controversy.

To put it simply,
Crist lost a 30 point lead over his Republican rival and chose to quit the party rather than lose gracefully. He is delusional in thinking he can win a race when he couldn’t even win the primary within his own party, and he has little support among moderates and Democrats.
Lieberman represented the people of Connecticut well and should have been the Democrat candidate but was forced out of the party due to his middle of the road views. The inherent antisemitism within the party didn’t stomach having a Jewish senator to begin with, and they were looking for an excuse to rid themselves of anyone who might jeopardize their chances with the growing Muslim vote. Obama’s foreign policy in the Middle East is an excellent example of where Democrats truly stand and their future stance on Israel and Jews in general.

BB,

While I will admit to being a shameless flirt on occassion with the GOP, as they are the more attractive of the two major parties, I assure you, I am a good boy and you will not find me in bed with either.

As to the Tea Party, I see them as “The Resistance” to a over zealous anti-constitutionalist machine, who, as Silver suggest, became too confident and when they tried to get to second base over the objection of thier date, figured what the hell, and now are in the process of a rape.

They figure if they get far enough it may result in a shot gun wedding between the new progressive (socialist/statist/corporatist) and the American public.

Well some of us are do not cotton to a marriage just to avoid a fight within the family, and that shotgun can be used to prosecute as well consumate and forced relationship. I mean that in an entirely metaphoric image, of course.

This 3rd party thing is the stuff of dreamers. Our only realistic hope, as I see it, is to change the less lying party into a GOP that lives up to the ideas of our founders. This will take a leader, a great leader.

Sadly, I don’t yet see one. Unless “the people” who agree with Ron Pauls ideas back him, sadly too many will consider him a long shot and will not vote for him. He is short, mild mannered, humble, and say’s what is right instead of what tickles the most ears. His chances are slim because of that. But I’m waiting, these political parties are a pool of incest and back room dealing, and the American family are getting a belly full of the non-sence and pandering. Our beautiful diversity must once again become a melting pot, like it was intended.

2012, will if nothing else, be very interesting.

The ‘birthers’ claims were not of a false certificate but of no certificate. Though the State of Hawaii still refuses to produce the original or a copy, Bill O’Reilly seems to have settled the issue for most reasonable people. He has shown copies of a birth announcement in the local newspaper.

Unless the Obamas were psychic, they couldn’t have conspired to issue a false birth announcement the year of Barack’s birth.

Disloyalty to one’s country is, to most people, far more serious than disloyalty to one lying political party or another. The parties have no problem destroying compromised members of ‘their own’ when they don’t fall in line. Party loyalty is one way – uphill.

There is no such thing in actuality as loyalty among liars and opportunists.

In the President’s case, he was too impatient. With Hillary there would have been a great deal more sophistication and foreplay. Regimes are like rainstorms. The harsh, windy sudden storms pass quickly. A slow rain lasts much longer.

The ‘Progressives’ have missed their chance at peaceful, political revolution. Expect desperation to force their hand into some pretty drastic measures.
