You are here: Home > 2012 election, Afghanistan, Barack Obama, Current Events, George Bush, Iraq, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Socialism > Is Mitt the Most ‘Presidential’?

What is it, these days, that we look for in a president? In 2004, I remember hearing some Europeans expressing their desire for a Kerry presidency due mostly to the fact that he looked “more presidential” than Bush.

Uh….okay.

I guess what they mean by that is that he is taller, has the squarer jaw, comes across as more polished. In other words, Kerry must remind them of Mitt Romney. The funny thing about this is that these were people from the socialistic European Union who were likely using Kerry’s more debonair approach as a smokescreen for their desire for a president who is more sympathetic to their liberal and socialistic preferences. No wonder most of Europe and the rest of the world are so ga-ga over Obama.

This is just one of the reasons why Romney would be a perfect replacement for Obama, even if he miraculously wins the 2012 election. Every person around this nation and around the world who is in love with our current president  would find very little difference in how the White House is run, though likely disappointed because of the change of personality and physical appearance.

Some might say they prefer a Kerry/Obama type because they are not “war mongers” like the GOP presidents. Well, Obama has proven after 3 years of being in office, that he has no intention of ending the war either, so this is more of a case of millions of lemmings following the stereotype of their cultural Pied Pipers. People immediately refer to the Bushes as being responsible for the Gulf and Iraq and Afghanistan wars. And, of course, they were. But they seem to conveniently forget that JFK initiated the Viet Nam war and LBJ perpetuated it. Ironically, this is the same war that ended on Nixon’s watch.

No, it unfortunately comes down to the fact that the typical American voter or typical foreign onlooker judges candidates by physical appearances and personalities. The naysayers who are working around the clock to bring up past actions in order to bruise reputations are successful sometimes. But it mostly comes down to personality, appearance, and presentation, sorry to say. It is a good thing for someone like Obama and Romney that most voters don’t care about substance (and in Obama’s case, experience), otherwise things would possibly be very different. And then, for the people who do care about substance, they most often throw that consideration out the window when it comes to election day and vote in a partisan manner, for the sake of their beloved Party (refer back to the Massachusetts, Scott Brown election debacle).

My point? Of all the GOP candidates that are still standing, Mitt Romney, far and away, “looks” the most presidential. Fortunately, however, for Obama Nation (and Obama Global), he is a Barack clone, but with even fewer followers. Not to mention that there is no way that any of the people who voted for our current president would ever vote for Romney, no matter how much Obama has already screwed up. This means, in my opinion, if he wins the Republican nomination, Obama supporters might as well start celebrating in August. Because they will either have The One in office for 4 more years, or will have The One’s fraternal twin brother.

Ron Paul 2012

The 2012 Presidential Election is fast approaching

The White House

The GOP race is now a field of 4 with only Romney, Gingrich, Paul, & Santorum still standing. Who will be the next candidate to exit the race & who will emerge as the eminent GOP nominee?

Why in the world would any body want to vote for Ron Paul, now isn’t he just alittle bit older than most Americans like as what they thought of and did to McCane when he was running for President……Hmmm, now come on, but afterall anything would be better than what we got now and that damn Clinton liar is such a f****** joke, another example of the people’s bad choice and judgement!!!!!

Teresa,

Because Ron Paul is the only politician anywhere in sight who adheres to the Constitution and, if president, would continue to do so. He doesn’t play the Establishment politics game (which is exactly why the liberal AND conservative media hate him so much) and, if you were to listen to a sound clip from 30 years ago, he is the only politician anywhere in sight who is saying exactly the same thing now as he was then. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you might like what he is saying (unless you respect the Constitution, that is), but at least he can’t be accused of being a political weathervane like nearly every other candidate to come along in recent memory.

Johnny,

Your stupid, profane-laden tirade aside……you apparently didn’t read a single lick of my article. Why don’t you take time to read it first and then you will see that 99% of your comments are irrelevant.

Also, it’s kooks like you who give Ron Paul a bad name. You either know that and are doing it on purpose, or you need to go wash out your mouth with soap and try again.

Hey, Pal,

I happen to be a Ron Paul supporter and angry about what is happening in DC too. But I also try to voice my disdain in a way where some people might actually take me seriously. A lot of them have told me that they still disagree with my support of Ron Paul, but at least they give me a listening ear and don’t write me off as a loon before I even get a chance to give them reasons as to why I support Ron Paul in the first place.

Hey, Hoss,
I don’t look at it the same way you do. This is the perfect time to get loud and obnoxious. I am tired of being nice and quiet while the gov’t continues to fuck me in the ass. I call it getting passionate about my country. This is my fucking country and If I want to yell and swear and go against what is clearly unconstitutional Theft, taxation without representation,in a atmosphere of socialisim, where Illeagals and criminals have more rights and get free hand-outs out of mine and your paychecks while honest hard working americans foot the bill and are denyed our own damm familys pursuit of happiness then I will. You can pussify it all you want. I choose to get loud and in their faces. I don’t know where you are from. I am from Texas. We don’t pussify shit down here!

The most presidential? Thats the stupidist thing I have ever heard. How in the fuck can someone be the most “Presidential”. That kind of thinking along with “Our first black president” hype is what got Obama in the white house in the first place! I should hope we all learned our lesson from that fucking mistake.! We need to start electing people based on issues not god damm nostalgia. Nostalgia and hype is what gave us the worst god-damm president in the history of our country. Use your brains people! Do your fucking homework and get a clue! Pull your head out of your ass. GOV’T DEPENDENCE IS NOT THE ANSWER. Get up off your asses get out there and do something for yourselves for a change. I am tired of paying for all you lazy motherfuckers! America first. To hell with Iran and North Korea. Let the rest of the world blow themselves up! Fuck em! Take care of America, its defenses, and repeal all the damm gov’t regualtions smothering american bussinsess, bring our jobs back from overseas, and start drilling. We got everything we need right here in America. Its high fucking time we start thinking about America and Americans for a damm change. And end ALL the foreign aid

And in keeping with this article I will say this. Romney is the most Full-of-shit so-called candidate in the race right now. Why in the hell does everybody in the media compare any GOP candidate with Romney? Can paul win against Romney? Can Gingrich win against Romney? Fuck all that. Romney ain’t shit! I am going with Ron Paul. I don’t care. This guy will get it done and done right despite the media calling him “un-electable” What the fuck does that even mean anyways. He is just as electable as any one of those other son-of-a-bitches up there. So fuck the media, fuck phoney ass Romney, and Fuck Obama!
Go Ron Paul!!!!!!!!
