The whole health care debate has been such a hotbed topic since President Obama first campaigned for office. It seems it isn’t over yet since it’s still early on in Obama’s term. This isnt the first time universal healthcare has been brought to the forefront. When Clinton was President, he and Hilary approached the topic of universal healthcare. It resulted in individual states creating their own state-sponsored HMO’S as an alternative to straight up Medicaid which is very limiting to people being able to choose their own doctors. In New York State we have Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus and Health Plus.
There has to be a better way to approach the health care crisis in this country. If they approach it first, maybe by providing health care to the uninsured and underinsured. The opponents of univeral health care claim they will raise taxes but President Obama says it will create jobs. There are so many pros and cons to the issues.

New ranking of the Top Nations to live in according to quality of life. America was not even in the top 10, we fell one spot to number 13. Interesting when you see how many in the top 10 have some sort of socialization of their government and industry and how many have public health care. Norway, Australia, Iceland, Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Switzerland and Japan are all in the top ten, but they’re all screwed up, right?
But hey, we’re number ONE and everybody just wants to be us…..right…?
