Do you think Ryan Seacrest, announcer of American Idol, is acting funny? I personally don’t know, but I thought I would address the most read story and it’s implications before I got to the lesser read stories buried under that.

Hmmm, which trifle shall I post about? I know, how bout the one where the country that calls us the Great Satan, run by a certifiable loon may have the ability to nuke NY or Seattle or anything between, with nuclear holocaust.
There is an upside mind you, the experts say it’ll take them five years. Well there are those variables that could effect that timeline (Downward).
Now, that our chess playing president removed all US inspectors from Russia. Maybe a poor move. Reversed course to a complete stop for a defense shield in eastern Europe that would be able to intercept intercontinental ballistic missiles from Iran. Hand removed from the chess piece, no do over. PUBLICALLY ANNOUNCED that we will not use force to interfere with whatever the hell Iran is doing, maybe some rethinking on that tomorrow.
Anyways guys, many experts feel you don’t need to worry, I mean for like 5 years or so, then we should start using some tougher language with Iran. Just maybe then Russia and China “will let us” impose more sanctions. Maybe we can impose a ban on playground equipment and McDonalds, I mean if China and Russia agree.
Their quite insane you know, but like they said, don’t think about it for 5 years. Unless one of those things happen that cause that to change, certainly don’t worry about this week, for sure this week is good.
Russia is planting a presence in Venezuela for nuclear energy development, combined with space launch missiles (for scientific purposes), at the same time Iran is sending expert elite Swat military “consultant” troops into our hemisphere so that the Venezuelans feel safe from the countries around them (whom are scared to death of them). Oh, and China is spending 20 billion dollars to shore up Venezuela’s infra-structure. Those guy’s are so nice to help a poor country right here in our back yard.
It sure makes us look bad, not even lifting a finger, when those three countries are working so hard to help our own neighbor. I think we must just be getting selfish.

In other Buddy Movies Now Playing
The evil state of Israel has been bullying little Iran again, Russia, long known for self sacrifice and fair play sent 2000 ballistic missile with a range of 400 miles with accuracy to Iran to help.
But after they both realized their mistake, Israel is more than 400 miles away, da, Iran donated the ballistic missiles to Syria, who could need them someday, you know bullies, Israel could start shaking them down for lunch money, ya never know. But Syria, caring more for the smaller less capable terrorist of Hezbollah more than itself, and heck their close enough to use these things better, generously re-donated all 2000 missiles to them, for free.

It is so beautiful, charity. You see each of these transactions, gifts really, were made without a word to anyone. Like the bible say’s, when giving gifts, don’t brag and let the left hand know what the right is doing. Truly these anonymous givers will be rewarded by God for not seeking the attention of men. Like I said, beautiful.
P.S.
Iran’s President denounced the US for being a threat to the whole world. Thanks, FYI

Swain,
I love the topic of religion and have devoted a good deal of attention to examining the phenomenon and supportive writings. In an ecumenical spirit and with a secular forum, I’m more comfortable with Common Era.
‘Christians’ are more comfortable with including references to their Lord. I understand because its like covering a base. I like baseball but pick-up games in other sports too.
Consti,
What brings you and I hope, a necessary component, is “something” that must happen to put this world back in proper rotation. Both the wobble and not knowing what can stabilize it are truly terrifying.
The only problem, “it” may not. A fear you and I can not face, but more probable than not, noting all the catastrophic variables in the world today.
BlowHard,
What you say is true, however, the One is creating the numbers for creation of a 1929 Argentina (From one of the worlds richest nations, to one of the poorest overnight by pandering with socialism) as we speak.
At some point very soon, a large enough segment (or insistent enough) of our society will demand the Nanny State with her entitlements, at which point there will be no rebound.
Silver,
If I correct you by saying, “Did you mean Anno Domini?”, would that just go to help make your point.
Somehow I suspect you knew I could not resist the correction, thus making your point “just a bit”.
Well done, but hopefully “something” will cause a re-melting of our pot of humanity.
Without the mass faculty to first recognize and second resist the enemy of our freedom, there really isn’t a brightness on the horizon. People who cling to hope will inevitably fight to the last breath. It should be remembered in these times of ‘polarization’ how we can aid our common enemy and embolden the politicos who profit from our differences.
When the Roman Army finally took Jerusalem in 70 CE, even those conquest hardened troops were appalled at what they found. While under siege by a foreign enemy, religious infighting and zealotry resulted in more carnage than would have been effected by the Romans themselves.
The bitterly divided Jewish sects within Jerusalem had demonstrated
the Tip O’Neil principle 1900 years in advance. “All politics is local.”
We, as a society under siege from without and within, should take a lesson.
J Byron,
Please don’t confuse people liking President Obama’s persona versus “As we speak, 50% of our country applauds our current administration.” White America feels a lot of guilt, and seeing a black man- who speaks like a white guy– helps to relieve the shame of our collective past. But when asked directly about his policies, most Americans are against them. The next election will be a referendum on his policies, and it will not be pretty.
Consti,
The idea of not purchasing anything–cutting off the spigot– only works if the government paid on a cash basis. Once credit became the norm any temporary action became futile. Look at California with their I.O.U.’s in lieu of tax refunds. How do the citizens have a chance when the government owns the judiciary, the enforcement (IRS, police, etc…), and ultimately controls all property through registration requirements, taxes, eminent domain, etc…
J Byron,
I definitely agree with you about your leader comment. Unfortunately none have stepped into the circle that isn’t a politician in independent clothing. And neither major party has put forth a person of value. About as close as it get’s right now is Ron Paul, and even that I have doubts about.
However the great thing about a Republic is that it’s not the “leader” that holds power. It’s the people. Being a movie buff the line from V for Vendetta comes to mind.
“People shouldn’t fear their government. Government should fear it’s people.”
Perhaps my trust in the American public is misguided, and I should listen to the drivel people like Laura and Dough boy spout about it being “the publics fault.” But I just don’t buy that concept. Dare I say that the founding fathers forgot one little thing when they wrote the constitution. They forgot the greed of man. Term limits for congress and the senate should have been written in. By not doing so the fathers opened the door to political dynasties. Frankly the only way I see government ever being cleaned up and held responsible is if this is enacted. And it will take someone with HUGE bolas de latón to get it passed. It’s something that will have to be battled out on a state by state basis like the Arizona immigration law will be eventually.
Another thing I think would have value is if a movement (say like the tea party) refused to pay takes for ONE DAY. Imagine the loss of tax revenue if a large portion of the population simply didn’t purchase anything for a week. Do you think the government would listen if the people turned off the spigot of their wallets?
Consti,
We would have already lost if it weren’t for people like you, and the passion you act with is our only hope.
Blowhard’s insights sadly are spot on, probably, but Silver as always sees things as the gifted orator speaking for reasonable reality. The current of man’s history will naturally flow in the direction historic trends unless the Consti’s act and the blowhards are heard.
Silver is a seer, as things are, few have the fortitude to face the reality and address it with such candor and eloquence.
Without the miracle of a Leader to stand against this oncoming current I fear our time is marked in years rather than generations.
As we speak, 50% of our country applauds our current administration, and another perhaps obscene percentage will not/can not deal with the huge events of history about to unfold.
Then again, I could just be seeing things in a over dramatic tizzy of silliness, and Ryan Seacrest personality issues should be the lead story on yahoo.
Silverwun,
With all due respect to you and your comments.
I deny your “new normal” and replace it with a normal of my own.
Acceptance of evil is evil. Acceptance of failure is failure. Acceptance of socialism is surrender of freedom. I will not let myself or my children wallow in medocrity and “normal.” Success is earned by those willing to risk it all. And submission is the last refuge of the weak mind.
And that’s my two centavos.
Are you even remotely surprised that a disciple of antisemitism would risk the destruction of Israel? Have you heard the reverend Wright’s sermons? Did you hear that he bestowed a lifetime achievement award on Louis Farrakhan? Our President is a bigoted, antisemitic, racist who wants to weaken the US and destroy Israel. The only foreign leader he didn’t bow to was the Prime Minister of Israel, who didn’t even receive a public meeting. It is not incompetence but rather savage, planned, impotence.
Try to think of it all as the new sanity. Maybe it will help, not to accept it but to realize who is in charge. The unthinkable is becoming commonplace and perhaps as horrific as the specter is, it may just be that time.
All of the symptoms are there if we only look to history. There is always hope and I’m quite sure that our ancestors also clung to hope at the ends of empires like Egyptian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Inca, Holy Roman etc.
‘Barbarians’ overtake them, slaughter and enslavement ensue and the world steps back for awhile. This time, we have nowhere left for nascent freedom to occur that won’t be under the watchful eye of totalitarianism. The planet has finally shrunk.
Maybe it is just that time.
