Ever see the jumbo jet disappear? This was done by a magician on television years ago, and we all know that what you see on T.V. is real right? Jumbo jet sitting on the tarmac, curtain goes up; magician seems to strain a little then poof! Plane is gone. I loved that trick! Although, what you didn t see is as important as what you did.

Town hall meetings and the organized protests.

This one really has me laughing. There has been a lot of news coverage of contentious town hall meetings where people are shouting down their representatives. It s been floated that these are being staged. First it was the evil republicans and their cronies. Then it was cable news shows behind the large numbers of people attending. How short the Democrats memory is and how insulting their rhetoric has become. They are all up in arms about the American public expressing their first amendment rights when it is against their policies. Their playbook has been stolen and their tactics used against them. Now they are crying ‘unfair’! Anyone remember the activist face to face with Secretary Rice, her hands covered in read shouting directly into her face? How about the violent protests in 2002 against George Bush that WAS NEVER reported on till now? People were running around with signs showing a gun to his head with the phrase ‘wanted dead or alive’. With an X through the alive part. How about recent reports that the SEIU had bussed people into a small town hall to counteract the local people exercising their first amendment rights?  Or the little girl at the last Obama town hall who s mother donated time and money to Obama campaign? You know the one where Obama had to ask for contentious questions since it was so civil a meeting. Of course it was civil, they were his supporters made to look like detractors. Never in my lifetime have I heard so many politicians refer to the American public as ‘stupid‘, ‘racist’, ‘terrorist‘ or ‘evil-mongers‘. All for wanting to express their constitutional right to free speech against a policy they don t want. It s evident to me by the reaction that the democratic representatives have had that they are not interested in what their constituents have to say. Even going so far as to answer a cell call in the middle of being asked a question by one that put them in office. Or false town hall schedules being passed around.  If that was a Republican congressman they would have been burned in effigy! It s time the American public wake up and smell the swamp that is Washington D.C. These people won t even commit to taking the same healthcare they are trying to force on us. The arrogance, the indifference to the American public stinks to high heaven. I ask you, if you voted Democrat in the congressional election, do you now have buyer s remorse? I ll close this by saying these compassionate Democratic activists (SEIU) beat a man for selling anti-Obama merchandise, yet complain about the violence at these town halls. Me thinks the lady doest protest too much.

Consti has written 85 awesome articles for us.

I was born and raised in two places. The Midwest and the west coast. You can say I have a mid-west core with a west-coast mentality. I was a Cub Scout, a Boy Scout, A Scout Leader, and a volunteer so I learned my civic duty at an early age. Well before mandated school curriculum required me to. Long before a sitting President made it "cool" and definitely before he "required" it of us. I am a product of the Public Screwl System!! I am like you a citizen of the U.S. I get up, go to work, come home, kiss the fiance pet my cats, have dinner, play Xbox, love the fiance, and go to bed. I pay my taxes, my healthcare, my car payment, rent, power, and the rest of my bills just like you. The difference you might ask is I use my voice to bring to light the corruption, hypocrisy, greed, graft, miss-management, and utter shenanigans of the government in power. Who so ever that should be. Like the late great Mark Twain, I am for the country, not it's institutions. I am for the Constitution, not the talking heads on T.V. I am for the people of this great country, not the power structure that is. The truth my friends is an ugly thing. However, only the truth will set you free. So look upon the face of the beast with me and laugh my friends. For that is what the face of truth requires. Humor. The reason I blog about politics and our American society is it is my way of participating in the dialog and democratic process that is our Republic. I urge all of you reading this to play your part in our society and make your voice heard. Which ever side of the political spectrum you are on. The government is not the boss, you the public are. Make use of it. I hope you find something here that makes you smile or laugh. If you do then I have done my job. If you find something here that makes you think or change your mind then I am truly blessed. Either way my friend let's buy the ticket and take the ride as Hunter S. Thompson said so eloquently.

And now for their best trick – they will make our rights disappear and most people will think they are still there.

“those powers which the people by their Constitutions expressly give them; they enjoy by positive grant, and those remaining ones, which they never meant to give them, and which the Constitutions say nothing about, they enjoy by tacit implication”

****Update****
SAN DIEGO — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday responded to 10News’ report about a new sonic weapon known as a Long Range Acoustic Device, or LRAD.

On Monday, members of the American Civil Liberties Union spoke with 10News, and they expressed outrage that local law enforcement had the device and that they had brought it to recent town hall meetings in case things got out of hand.

So now if you disagree with your rep beware the sonic pepper spray. How long until we start to see these at protests against Health care?
