Crist to dump the Republican party…

in Current Events

Florida governor announced that he’s jumping party lines to run as an Independent for the state’s senate race.  This isn’t the first time a politico has abandoned their political party to become a member of the Independent party- former Vice-Presidential candidate and Connecticut senator, Joe Lieberman became an Independent.  John Anderson skipped out on the Republican party back in 1980 to run as an Independent.  It seems to be catching on.  Crist has been discussed as a possible candidate in the 2012 Presidential Election is a moderate.

He has until Friday to make it official which is when the deadline is.  Crist was one of the big stars in the Republican party, says he’s given his decision much thought and consideration. He a popular  state governor and possible Presidential candidate.  I’m sure he will come out a winner in the Florida state senate race, I find him to be a strong candidate.

The 2012 Presidential Election is fast approaching

The White House

The GOP race is now a field of 4 with only Romney, Gingrich, Paul, & Santorum still standing. Who will be the next candidate to exit the race & who will emerge as the eminent GOP nominee?

Hi brunettebabe2:
Right now Crist is out front. He has a 62% approval rating as Governor, and is running ahead in a three man race –Crist –Rubio, the apparent GOP nominee–Meek, the Dem front runner. The wild card is how effective the former Calif Repub now Fla Dem the billionaire, Jeff Greene, will be. Can he win the Dem nomination, then will he spend like crazy to defeat Crist? The Fla State GOP party is being investigated by federal and state law enforcement for corruption. Every top GOP official for the last few years could be involved in the misuse of GOP charge card scandal — Rubio, Crist too! This could damn Crist. The Fla GOP has gone so far to the right that it has marked itself for defeat. Crist is the same moderate pol he has always been, holding elected office for 20 odd years; the Fla GOP has moved to the right and will move itself into defeat. If Crist wins the seat, he hasn’t said which party he will caucus with. He won’t now say the GOP, because he is counting on Dem votes. The GOP is trashing him now, but will they be after November?
