The Ten Commandments of Conservatism

Greetings! Consti here in the secret underground bunker think tank where the staff and I have come up with a tong-n-cheek look at conservative values. They are not necessarily just values a conservative should hold, but more the values every politician who seeks to rule over the American public should be held to. We have borrowed from the biblical tale of Moses and his decent from Mount Sinai to bring onto the children of Israel the moral imperative of their lord to help simplify intellectual digestion for the reader.

Counting Chickens

Greetings! Consti here coming to you from the Secrete underground bunker Zen room where I’ve been meditating on a couple of pieces of wisdom that have been ground into my head for the past 40 years. The first piece of wisdom was imparted to me by my late grandmother. “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.” And the other piece of wisdom comes via the Boy Scouts of America: “Be prepared.” Let me explain how these relate to the coming November elections.

Will the Real Conservative Please Stand Up?

by JFesta July 7, 2010

I’ve seen many conservatives, on this site, and in the media, say that the Republican Party needs another Ronald Reagan. I am the first to admit I am no fan of Reagan. Though his support for the U.N. Convention Against Torture was principled and should have been approved when he presented it to the [...]

BP Oil Spill is 1000% Bush and Cheney’s Fault

by Erik the Red June 7, 2010

At least that is what Arianna Huffington told George Will on ABC’s ‘This Week‘. I happen to agree with her. After all, I am privy to a secret, long list of internationally-known infractions that these two manipulators are either directly or indirectly responsible for. You heard it here first, folks: Let’s start with Dubya: (1) [...]

A more perfect self-hating nation.

by Consti Tution May 25, 2010

Consti here with some questions for you to answer for yourself. Is it right to question a sitting president’s policies either in time of war or peace? Is it right for a sitting President to condone or participate in foreign criticism of his country? Is it right to bandy about the term “sedition” in reference [...]

McConnell, Senator False face

by dfunzy April 18, 2010

The GOP, the party of popularism? Now that is a joke. For the GOP to pretend popularism would be an outright misrepresentation of truth. That crafty old, smart by half, Mitch McConnell, the GOP Senate leader, railing that the bill before the Senate, that would increase regulation of the big Wall Street investment banks, is [...]

Nasty Noise: The Far Right Goes Too Far

by A.B. Arkawy March 23, 2010

Nothing should shock us at this point. I mean we’ve heard the rabid rancour for months over everything from Obama’s birth certificate to health care reform. Still the names hurled at members of Congress last weekend as the House Bill was finally headed to the floor, was nothing short of shameful. Citizens yelling the “n” [...]

Relatives Leave Big Brother on Life Support for One More Year

by Erik the Red February 25, 2010

The Patriot Act has been extended for one more year. The only surprise is that anyone would be surprised. Though the Democrats have played the part of the weak, overpowered party, this is only a facade as evidenced by the fact that President Obama and his team support the extension. The Republicans have reinforced their [...]

What is the Tea Party?

by Jerry Berggren February 17, 2010
Tea Party

Friday is the anniversary of Mr. Santelli’s call. A year later, the Tea Party movement is still rather amorphous. So what is the Tea Party? On February 19, 2009 Rick Santelli of CNBC called for a Chicago Tea Party as a protest to the Obama administration’s plans to prop up people unable to afford their [...]

At Least We Know Who WON’T Be President In 2012: Sarah Palin

by FloridaBlogger February 14, 2010
Sarah Palin

After last week’s most recent embarrassments at both the Tea Party Convention and on Fox News it appears that Sarah Palin has reinforced the perception that she is profoundly unqualified to be President of the United States. At the Tea Party Convention she was seen by a national television audience reading scribbled notes from the [...]

New Poll Documents Bizarre Views Held By Many In Today’s GOP

by FloridaBlogger February 3, 2010

An astounding new poll conducted by Research 2000 (Daily Kos) highlights some of the absurd opinions about President Obama held by a LARGE portion of the current incarnation of the republican party. Therein lies the problem of today’s political climate. In order to justify their opposition to President Obama these people consciously demonize the President. [...]
