57% Would Like to Replace Entire Congress

This one I just had to post since it gives me hope that the country isn’t completely lost.

“If they could vote to keep or replace the entire Congress, just 25% of voters nationwide would keep the current batch of legislators.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% would vote to replace the entire Congress and start all over again. Eighteen percent (18%) are not sure how they would vote.”

The article goes on to point out that even republicans are not happy with their representation. Of course the Democrats are fine with it all, but aside from their voter fraud in the last election I’d say it’s a good sign. Personally, I think they should have term limits just like the president. Four years and out, with at least 2 years before they can run again. That would keep things fresh and career politicians would actually have to work for a living to remember where it is that they came from. But that’s just my opinion. I say DO IT NOW!! But then I woke up from that dream.

A “new Rasmussen Reports survey”? Congress has consistently had the lowest approval rating of any branch of government for decades now. This is not new and so hardly proves that Democrats in Congress are doing a terrible job. The same polls show that although those who are surveyed rate Congress so low, they also rate their own Congressperson quite high. It is simply an institutional reality. Oh and did you know that the Supreme Court is consistently rated somewhere in the %75-85 range in the very same surveys. However, I’m sure plenty of people don’t always agree that the SC is doing a good job.
